Ok, so today was my first attempt at actual Astrophotography!

I had my Canon EOS 1100d set with a 15 second shutter speed and the ISO set to 1600 and f4.5.

I was using the standard 55mm lens that it came with so I wasn’t expecting too much, but I did manage to get a few cool shots of Mars.

This was taken in my back garden so as you can imagine there was a LOT of light pollution. Plus it was very hazy and the Moon was out. So lesss than ideal conditions…

I used the standard Canon software that came with my camera to play with the levels of the colours to try and tidy the image up.

I also took some shots of the Moon. I only uploaded one because the quality of the other was pretty poor.

*I believe the second and third images actually have a satellite trail that I missed while I was out there!
